Egis secures 10-Year renewal for Gebze-Izmir motorway in Turkey
Turkey.
The hub has been transformed over a ten-year period, with a team of 800 highly skilled professionals exporting O&M expertise to major international projects in Qatar, Kazakhstan, and Ireland.
The Turkish project has set the scope of the renewed contract, covering smart infrastructure and the maintenance of all energised and non-energised systems.
This included revenue management in the end-to-end toll collection and back office operations, a customer service call centre available 24/7 and full-scale winter services and environmental upkeep.
Egis also stated that the renewal has also focused on sustainability and social performance. This included gender diversity with 39% female employment rate—double the national average, a 95/100 GRESB score, ranking the motorway among the world's top-performing infrastructures and a 4.3 score on the Simple performance index.
Egis CEO consulting & operations, Pierre-Yves Massille, said: "This renewal recognizes a decade of trust and hard work. Together, we haven't just met standards; we’ve evolved them. We are proud to continue pushing the boundaries of operational performance and ESG commitment."
